Mac or pc for college?

I am going to college this fall and i need a laptop. I grew up with a pc and I'm leaning towards a pc, but I have a mac right now... I guess its ok, but I just like pc's better. However, this mac is just starting to become a little sluggish and slow after a good 4 years, but all the pc's I've had have never lasted that long. Plus i've never had virus problems with this mac. I am torn. And no I don't want to play any games so that isn't any deciding factor. What are your experiences for those of you in college?
