Why are the MAJORITY of black teens ignorant and self centered?

Honestly dude I'm black and I feel what you're saying because I feel the same way sometimes. I like how you said majority and not all because I'm not like that. To answer your question, I believe the answer is pretty complex but I'll try and give a short version. I believe its because of the environment we are raised in. It's because of what we see on tv and what we are influenced by. Its also because of the lack of fathers and the lack of good role models therefore causing teens (not just blacks) to seek out other role models and fathers through gangs and other activities. Not to mention the peer pressure in school and being made fun of or beat up for trying to learn something and trying to be smart. There's a lot to it. The only way they can be better is to be taken out of that environment and taught better.
